For 45 years BQ Design has been manufacturing soft furnishings for interior designers and decorators, window furnishing and bedding retailers and commercial fitout specialists throughout Australia. We work with sole traders through to major corporations on small to large jobs.

Our high quality products are manufactured by talented and experienced craftspeople, and installed in homes, offices, hotels, aged care facilities, retail, hospitality and other commercial premises.

All our products are manufactured in Australia and backed by a 3 year production warranty. We stringently check all our products prior to packaging and dispatch to you.


We offer a comprehensive range of custom made soft furnishing products including: curtains, blinds, pelmets, bedheads, wall panels, bedding and cushions.

For each product type we offer standard contemporary and traditional styles, which can be further enhanced with optional trims, contrast fabric, customised shapes and other detailing you desire.

Each product is individually crafted for you by our technicians, according to your exact design and style specification, We use either the fabric you supply to us or for a timely, easy and cost effective option we have a collection of Home Range window furnishing fabrics we source and stock.

We are continually reviewing our product range to ensure our styles meet current demands and our componentry is the best in the market.


We’re with you all the way. Our Customer Service team boasts extensive years of soft furnishing experience with several of our key staff working at BQ for more than 35 years. There are not many questions that come into our office that the team can’t solve. We take time to listen to your requirements, so from the start we understand your goals and can assist you design outstanding soft furnishings your customers will be proud to showcase in their home or office. We provide quotes within 24 hours and can assist with appropriate design, sizing, fabric type and metreage advice to suit your fabric and installation requirements.

Our sales representatives are on the road, traveling the country and are available to visit you at your office or onsite at your project to provide fabric, design and installation advice.

We have examples of our finished products on display at our Notting Hill, Victoria showroom. You are welcome to visit in office hours and bring your client. Tours of our workroom are also available to our customers, if pre-arranged with BQ.


As a registered BQ customer, login to our website for the latest information regarding our products and services.

You can also access our Job Track service, providing you with the current status of all your processed orders, updated in real-time. View style, sizing, quantity details, expected completion date and freight details.

We will also email you every Monday with details of your current orders we have processed. Any outstanding queries and fabric receipt status will be mentioned.

When processing your order we will contact you immediately if we haven’t received your fabric and your order form or we have any queries.


Choosing the perfect fabric is an important part of the design process. We accept an extensive range of fabric compositions, styles and widths from your chosen supplier. Before ordering your fabric we recommend you check with BQ if your fabric is suitable for the product style you have decided on.

We also stock a Home Range collection of fabrics suitable for curtains, blinds and pelmets. These high quality fabrics provide you with a timely and cost effective fabric option.


We receive 1000’s of rolls of fabric at BQ every year. Every roll is carefully handled to avoid damage and fabric creasing. Before cutting we confirm the fabric is suitable for the product style you have requested and review the fabric to ensure it is void of flaws.

For curtain and blind fabrics expected to shrink or stretch when installed, we attempt to minimise fabric movement by processing suitable fabric through our specially designed fabric oven.


For Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra metropolitan areas, we offer free fabric collection for rolls up to 160cm long.

Once we’ve successfully processed your order form and inspected your fabric, we can provide you with a promised completion date, you can view online via Job Track or contact BQ to request.

Then you can organise your installer and other service providers.


We offer an incentive program to customers based on their BQ annual financial year spend including: discounts, extended cut-off dates for pre-Christmas guaranteed orders, ability to pre-book jobs, listing on our website, discounted sample books, and access to imagery.

We can provide you with contact details of service providers to measure and install in Melbourne, Sydney and some other areas.

We can also provide installation instructions for all our products. Contact BQ if you require further installation assistance.


BQ stand by the products we manufacture by offering you and your customers a three year production warranty for repair or replacement should component failure or a manufacturing fault occur.

Our 3 year warranty applies from the date of purchase and is subject to verification of the following facts:

1. That the recommended care instructions have been followed.
2. The product has not been damaged, altered or modified in any way by the product purchaser.
3. The product has not been used by the purchaser in the manner inconsistent with its purchase.
4. The product has been correctly installed.

We will collect and return at no charge, any product we deem has a manufacturing fault.
