Ordering Tips – Bedhead
QUANTITY & SIZING
BQ make the bedhead timber frame according to the sizing you provide. Finished sizing will be slightly larger due to padding and fabric thickness. If perfect fit is required, please make allowances for fabric and padding.
- Size:
Select your bed size. BQ’s standard bedhead sizing will then be provided.
To order non standard sizing, overwrite the standard measurements shown.
- Width:
Specify the bedhead width required. Maximum width is 2100mm.
For non standard sizing, an additional charge may apply.
- Height:
Specify the bedhead height required. Standard height is 1200mm. Maximum height is 1700mm.
For non standard sizing, an additional charge may apply.
OPTIONAL FEATURES
- Base cut-out:
Suitable for BH2, BH3, BH4, BH5, BH8, BH9, BH11, BH12, BH13, BH14, BH15. To accommodate for powerpoints or cords. Also added to wings if present. Refer Customised Products Price List for standard sizing or specify requirements below. There is no charge for standard base cut-outs although non standard base cut-out shapes may incur a charge.
- Skirting board cut-out:
Suitable for BH2, BH5, BH6, BH7, BH8, BH9, BH11, BH12, BH13, BH14, BH15. For bedheads to sit on floor and flushed against wall rather than above skirting board. Standard dimensions are 100mm high x 20mm deep. Alternatively please provide required height and depth cut-out measurements below. There is no charge for standard skirting board cut-outs although non standard skirting board cut-out shapes may incur a charge.
- Additional piping:
Suitable for BH1 or BH3 back wall edge or on BH2, BH13 front and/or back edge of bedhead side wall at place of seams. 4.5mm and 7mm piping available.
- Covered buttons:
Suitable for BH1, BH2, BH4, BH5, BH8, BH9, BH11, BH12, Bh13, BH14. Upholstered on bedhead front. Button 20mm in diameter. Refer Customised Products Price List for standard placement or specify requirements below.
- Extra covered buttons (for BH7):
Recommended for non standard height BH7 bedheads 1250mm or higher.
- Extra row of panels (for BH8 or BH13):
Recommended for non standard height BH8 or BH13 bedheads 1250mm or higher.
- Cotton interlining:
Ivory cotton interlining is recommended for silks and lightweight or sheer fabrics. Cotton interlining avoids fabric discolouration, gives a truer colour of the fabric and reduces shadowing at fabric join seams. Ivory (BQ standard) and white interlining available. Not available with BH7 and BH10.
- No calico behind mattress (for BH2, BH3 or BH13):
Contact BQ for additional fabric requirements.
- Quilting:
Fabric will be quilted with 100gm polyester filling. Natural or black thread used as standard. For other thread colours an additional cost applies. Quilting pattern will be centered on bedhead face. For best results, ensure size and layout of selected quilting style suits bedhead finished size.
- Studs:
Added to bedhead side (BH1, BH2, BH3, BH4, BH5, BH9, BH11) or bedhead front as an alternate to piping (BH2, BH3) or add insert studs to bedhead front of plain style bedheads (BH1 55mm projection, BH2, BH4, BH5, BH11). Studs can be spaced intermittently or without spacing. Use studs supplied by BQ or customer supplied studs.
- Velcro Overlay:
To protect bedhead fabric. Standard size 500mm wide x 900mm high or specify requirements below.
